Golden text: Psalm 82:3*
Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.
I Kings 8: 1, 6, 10-11, 22-23, 46-51
Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel, before King Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.
6 Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the Lord to its place in the inner sanctuary of the house, in the Most Holy Place, underneath the wings of the cherubim.
10 And when the priests came out of the Holy Place, a cloud filled the house of the Lord, 11 so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord.
22 Then Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the assembly of Israel and spread out his hands toward heaven, 23 and said, “O Lord, God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above or on earth beneath, keeping covenant and showing steadfast love to your servants who walk before you with all their heart;
46 “If they sin against you—for there is no one who does not sin—and you are angry with them and give them to an enemy, so that they are carried away captive to the land of the enemy, far off or near, 47 yet if they turn their heart in the land to which they have been carried captive, and repent and plead with you in the land of their captors, saying, ‘We have sinned and have acted perversely and wickedly,’ 48 if they repent with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their enemies, who carried them captive, and pray to you toward their land, which you gave to their fathers, the city that you have chosen, and the house that I have built for your name, 49 then hear in heaven your dwelling place their prayer and their plea, and maintain their cause 50 and forgive your people who have sinned against you, and all their transgressions that they have committed against you, and grant them compassion in the sight of those who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them 51 (for they are your people, and your heritage, which you brought out of Egypt, from the midst of the iron furnace).

Temple. Body; the idea of Life, substance, and intelligence; the structure of Truth; the sanctuary of Love; a material structure where humanity congregates for worship.
We disown the Almighty when we try to attribute spiritual power to matter. Every time human theories give material elements power, we run into the quandaries of believing: the self-evolution and self-government of matter; or, that matter is the product of Spirit. The first assumption, matter as a power in and of itself, leaves the creator out of His own universe. The second presumption, regarding God as the creator of matter, automatically makes God responsible for all disasters; physical and moral. The unavoidable dilemma of empowering matter also makes infinite Life not only the source of destruction, but also makes Spirit guilty of maintaining perpetual disorder, all under the name of natural law.
When law is portrayed as physical instead of spiritual, natural science represents a kingdom divided against its self. In absolute Love, nature and God are one, law is spiritual and the natural order of heaven comes down to earth.
Spirit is the life, substance, and continuity of all things. We move on forces. Withdraw them and creation must collapse. Human knowledge calls them forces of matter. Divine Science restores the forces by classifying them spiritually and by declaring them inherently and wholly to belong to divine Mind.
I Kings 8: 54-61
54 Now as Solomon finished offering all this prayer and plea to the Lord, he arose from before the altar of the Lord, where he had knelt with hands outstretched toward heaven. 55 And he stood and blessed all the assembly of Israel with a loud voice, saying, 56 “Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke by Moses his servant. 57 The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. May he not leave us or forsake us, 58 that he may incline our hearts to him, to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his rules, which he commanded our fathers. 59 Let these words of mine, with which I have pleaded before the Lord, be near to the Lord our God day and night, and may he maintain the cause of his servant and the cause of his people Israel, as each day requires, 60 that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God; there is no other. 61 Let your heart therefore be wholly true to the Lord our God, walking in his statutes and keeping his commandments, as at this day.”

It is constructive for physicians, therapists, and practitioners to know and act on the truth that Mind is existent. Healers should not take the position that matter is the only cause.
Love is priestess at the altar of Truth.
People who discern divine reality will hold crime in check; they will help in the ejection of error. They will maintain law and order, and cheerfully serve the certainty of ultimate perfection.
We should remember that Life is God, and that God is omnipotent. To forget that God is our Life, is unconsciously to enable suffering instead of contradict it. Not understanding divine Science, the sick usually have little faith in it until they feel its altruistic influence. This shows that faith is not the healer in such cases. The sick admit the reality of affliction, whereas, they should defy it. We should stand up against the testimony of the deceitful senses, while maintaining our spirituality and ongoing likeness to God.
The identity or idea of reality continues forever. Soul is synonymous with Spirit, God; the creative, governing, infinite Principle, which is reflected by creation. Spirit is never inside a finite form.
35 And as Jesus taught in the temple, he said, “How can the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David? 36 David himself, in the Holy Spirit, declared,
“‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at my right hand,
until I put your enemies under your feet.”’
37 David himself calls him Lord. So how is he his son?” And the great throng heard him gladly.
38 And in his teaching he said, “Beware of the scribes, who like to walk around in long robes and like greetings in the marketplaces 39 and have the best seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at feasts, 40 who devour widows’ houses and for a pretense make long prayers. They will receive the greater condemnation.”

Jesus established his church and maintained his mission on a spiritual foundation of Truth-healing. His followers were taught that religion has a divine Principle which would overcome error and heal both the sick and the sinning.
As the true knowledge of God becomes evident, the outdated concept of God as a mighty hero, lord, or king, will continue to vanish. Creeds and rituals still need to wash their hands of religious lore.
The powers of this world will react and the old-guard will try to stop truth and make it submit to their human standards and systems. Science, not distracted by threats or assaults, continues to progress. There is always some chaos; however a mobilization to truth’s standard is inevitable.
Continue to recognize the nothingness of illusions—stay on the path Science is walking—and the ingrained illusions of human beings will be replaced with reality.
Ephesians 4: 1-8
I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. 7 But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift. 8 Therefore it says,
“When he ascended on high he led a host of captives,
and he gave gifts to men.”

Can we lose our rich inheritance and God’s gifts? No! Perfection and dominion were never given to mortal human beings.
Instead of possessing our own sentient form, we reflect Soul-sense. God, the Soul of all existence, being perpetual in individuality, harmony, and spirituality, imparts and preserves harmony and spirituality in us— through Mind, not matter/energy.
The history of Christianity furnishes sublime proofs of the supporting influence and protecting power bestowed on us by our heavenly Father-Mother. Omnipotent Mind gives us faith and understanding whereby to safeguard our self, not only from temptation, but also from bodily suffering.
The Scriptures are sacred. Our aim must be to have them understood spiritually, for only by this understanding can truth be gained. The true theory of the universe, including person, is not in material history but in spiritual development. Mental evolution, or ascension, inspires thought to expand to a higher awareness and relinquish a changeable, superficial, mortal theory of the universe. The spiritual and immortal are then adopted through metaphysical improvement.
All of God’s creatures, moving in the harmony of Science, are harmless, useful, and indestructible.
The divine Mind that made us, maintains us.
