Subject: No lack
Golden text: II Corinthians 9:11-12*
You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.
2 Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him. 13 The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy. 14 He had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him. 15 So all the wells that his father’s servants had dug in the time of his father Abraham, the Philistines stopped up, filling them with earth.
16 Then Abimelek said to Isaac, “Move away from us; you have become too powerful for us.”
17 So Isaac moved away from there and encamped in the Valley of Gerar, where he settled. 18 Isaac reopened the wells that had been dug in the time of his father Abraham, which the Philistines had stopped up after Abraham died, and he gave them the same names his father had given them.
19 Isaac’s servants dug in the valley and discovered a well of fresh water there. 20 But the herders of Gerar quarreled with those of Isaac and said, “The water is ours!” So he named the well Esek, because they disputed with him. 21 Then they dug another well, but they quarreled over that one also; so he named it Sitnah. 22 He moved on from there and dug another well, and no one quarreled over it. He named it Rehoboth, saying, “Now the Lord has given us room and we will flourish in the land.”

Expanded mindsets are able to see immortal goodness.
God never made a perception that lacks knowledge of the unlimited God.
The lack of spiritual power in today’s demonstrations of popular Christianity does not put to silence the labor of the centuries. Spiritual, not material consciousness is needed.
The assumption that life, substance, and intelligence are in human thinking, or of it, is an error.
Error is illegitimate, a mirage, and lacks spiritual identity or support. It has no real existence.
Truth and error seem to be in conflict. The contention of truth and error is only the mental conflict between the evidence of the spiritual perceptions and the testimony of the human imprints. Through faith in, and the understanding of divine Love, the battle between Spirit and flesh will settle all questions.
Truth cannot be contaminated by error. The statement that Truth is real necessarily includes its correlation, that error, Truth’s unlikeness, is unreal.
As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

The world may lack spirituality, and people may not be able to keep a promise or make a home happy, but human minds are demanding spiritual understanding and a reformed attitude.
As with any reform, a transition period will be felt. Transition periods are often unsettling and undesirable, however, why buck the trend when the reform compels us to find permanence and peace in a more spiritual devotion?
Rick Warren wrote in The Purpose Drive Life, “Your most profound and intimate experiences of worship will likely be in your darkest days―when your heart is broken, when you feel abandoned, when you’re out of options, when the pain is great―and you turn to God alone.”
Adversity teaches human beings not to lean on a collapsible crutch. Spiritual development doesn’t come from planting seeds in the dirt of materialist views. Those seeds rot whereas Love nurtures the higher joys of Spirit, which have no taint of earth.
John 2: 13-25
When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. 15 So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. 16 To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!” 17 His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me.”
18 The Jews then responded to him, “What sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?”
19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”
20 They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?” 21 But the temple he had spoken of was his body. 22 After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.
23 Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, many people saw the signs he was performing and believed in his name. 24 But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people. 25 He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person.

Jesus was well aware that the Science of Truth would be disregarded before it was understood. His foreknowing wasn’t an obstacle. The “man of sorrows” was in no danger because he lacked salary or popularity. Jesus completed his God-mission and then sat down at the right hand of God.
In the Saxon and twenty other tongues good is the term for God. The Scriptures declare all that He made to be good—good in Principle and in idea. The spiritual universe is good and reflects God as God is.
God’s thoughts are eternal, substantial, and alive. Human thoughts are temporal, frail, and doomed to death. Human thoughts lack a divine cause because God, Spirit, is the only cause and can only cause that which is eternal. The temporal and material are errors and are not creations of Spirit, but are imitations, opposites, or contradictions of the spiritual and eternal. Due to its contradicting nature, error must say, “I am true.” But by this saying, error, or the lie, destroys itself.
Insanity, sickness, and destruction are comprised in human material belief, and do not belong to the divine Mind. They are without a real origin or being. They have neither Principle nor permanence but belong with all that is relative and temporal. They belong to the nothingness of error which feigns the creations of Truth. Creations of matter must return to dust, whereas Spirit’s expressions are substantial and eternal. Error surmises that God’s child is both spiritual and material. Divine Science invalidates error and maintains our spiritual identity.
II Corinthians 8:8-14
I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the earnestness of others. 9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.
10 And here is my judgment about what is best for you in this matter. Last year you were the first not only to give but also to have the desire to do so. 11 Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means. 12 For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.
13 Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. 14 At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. The goal is equality, 15 as it is written: “The one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little.”

Our desires and aspirations ache to be fulfilled.
Who has found temporal mind sufficient to satisfy the demands of human lack and anguish?
We only feel a reward when we stop limiting infinite Mind to finite resources. Infinite Mind can’t lose its character as inexhaustible Love, eternal Life, omnipotent Truth.
The understanding that the Ego, I AM, is Mind, and that there is but one Mind or intelligence, begins at once to destroy the errors of human sense and to supply the truth of spiritual sense. This understanding makes the body harmonious; it makes the nerves, bones, brain, etc., servants, instead of masters. If humanity is governed by the law of divine Mind, the body is obedient to everlasting Life and Truth and Love.
At all times and under all circumstances, overcome evil with good. Know yourself, and God will supply the wisdom and the occasion for a victory over evil. Love is a protective covering. Wear it! Wrapped up in love, human hatred can’t reach you. The confirmation of a higher humanity will unite all interests in the one divinity.
