Golden text: Ephesians 5:8 (KJV)
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.
Matt. 11:20-28 (NIV)*
Jesus began to denounce the towns in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent. 21 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you. 23 And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted to the heavens? No, you will go down to Hades. For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day. 24 But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.”
25 At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. 26 Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.
27 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Jesus once said: “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.”
He did not praise, or obey, human-made doctrines or theories. He acted and spoke as he was moved not by spirits, but by divine Spirit.
To the ritualistic church authorities and hypocritical Pharisees, Jesus said, “The tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you.” Jesus’ history made a new calendar, which we call the Christian era, but he established no ceremonial worship. He knew that people can be baptized, take sacrament, support the ministry, study Bible lessons, make long prayers, and yet be corrupt and unspiritual.
Knowing the limitations of human thinking, Jesus tolerated humanity’s weaknesses, and “by his wounds [the rejection of error] we are healed.” “Despised and rejected by men,” yet returning good-will for cursing, Jesus taught spirituality, even the nature of God. When mistaken human minds felt the power of Truth, betrayal and terror were ready to attack the great Teacher. Yet Jesus did not change direction, knowing very well that obeying the divine order and trusting God saves from backtracking and re-healing the same problems again.
Isaiah 25:1 (NIV)*
25 Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you and praise your name,
for in perfect faithfulness
you have done wonderful things,
things planned long ago.
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
To God’s holy people in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9 he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.
11 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

Mind is the grand revelator, and there can be no power except that which is derived from Mind. If Mind was first chronologically, is first potentially, and must be first eternally, then give to Mind the glory, honor, dominion, and power everlastingly due its holy name.
Praise to God and peace to the struggling hearts! Christ has removed the obstacle from the door of human hope and faith, and through the revelation and demonstration of life in God, we are elevated to possible at-one-ment with the spiritual idea of God and our divine Principle, Love.
Tradition, education, and fashion form the illusive standards of human beings. Spirituality, exempt from decline or decay, has a glory of its own—the radiance of Soul. People are models of spiritual sense. Our spirituality is designed by perfect Mind and reflects those higher conceptions of loveliness which transcend all false conceptions.
Humans can’t figure out the nature and quality of God’s creation by diving into shallow materialist beliefs. The efforts to find life and truth in matter is tentative, therefore we must improve the effort and pay attention to spiritual sense and an immortal idea of substance. Spiritual, clearer, higher views inspire the Godlike person to reach the absolute center and circumference of reality.
Divine Science understood, is the prism and praise of Truth. An honest view of divine Science enables you to heal by its means.
Jesus urged the commandment, “You shall have no other gods before me,” which may be interpreted as, you will have no belief of Life as finite. You shall not know an evil life, for there is one Life which is God, good.
Willingness to become as little children and to leave the old for the new, prepares thought to receive the advanced idea. To cheerfully leave behind the false imprints, and contentedly let them disappear, is the attitude that helps to precipitate the ultimate harmony. The purification of feelings and intent is a proof of progress. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”
